TODAY WE ARE IN FLORENCE

After a long trip yesterday from Naples to Florence we finally arrived at our hotel, the Westin Excelsior. I stayed here last year and it's a wonderful experience the rooms are absolutely gorgeous and it's so nicely located that we can walk just about anywhere to the restaurants and shops. Last evening we went to Piazza Signorina and had dinner at dark with the beautiful carousel in the background.

 

The dinner was wonderful. For whatever reason I have fallen in love with fresh ravioli pasta with truffles. Perfect with Chianti wine.

We slept in and started our day at noon to the Duomo the beautiful cathedral of pink and green marble. 

 

 

Shopping is always an option here in Florence. There are more shops than you would ever believe with anything you would ever want all in front of you here in Florence.

Walking along the Piazza the artists work at street art showing off their skills and honestly they are exceptional
